Job Title: Junior Sales Executive (Technical Sales & Business Development).
Purpose of the Role:
The Junior Sales Executive will support the sales team in maintaining customer relationships, identifying new sales opportunities, and contributing to promotional activities. This role offers the opportunity for professional development, including potential sponsorship through a university course in business management upon proven capability in the sales role.
Reporting to: Sales Manager.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Assist in managing relationships with existing accounts, addressing their queries, and providing necessary sales support.
* Support in assessing applications and issues on-site, offering reliable solutions that benefit the customer.
* Identify new sales opportunities within existing clients.
* Re-engage with former customers to recover sales.
* Identify and develop new customers and markets.
* Prepare quotations and tenders to support sales activities.
* Assist in the preparation and presentation of group sales and maintenance contracts.
* Follow up on sales leads and determine the best methods for closing deals.
* Conduct site surveys and log information into the company's online database.
* Provide sales advice and assistance in the production of marketing literature.
* Communicate sales opportunities or new developments related to the company's online database and app.
* Organise and/or assist with trade shows, social events, factory visits, or other external events in which the company participates.
* Contribute to news or editorial content the company chooses to publish.
* Assist in fulfilling sales where further communications are required by the customer.
* Assist in the costing of invoices arising from sales within your remit.
* Create service tickets in the site diary and liaise with the site crew to ensure services are carried out correctly.
* Generate a month-end report and participate in a review meeting with the director to monitor ongoing sales processes.
* Provide market feedback and assistance in setting pricing levels for various products.
* Offer market feedback related to any health and safety issues that may impact future sales.
* Provide market feedback regarding the level of service achieved by company crews.
* Participate in training and development programs, with potential sponsorship for further education upon demonstrated sales success.
* Regularly visit customer sites as part of ongoing relationship management and business development.
Person Specification:
* Degree or Diploma in Business, Sales, or a related field (or working towards one).
* 1-3 years of sales experience, ideally within a technical or mechanical industry.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Enthusiastic and proactive approach to sales and customer service.
* Ability to build relationships and identify new business opportunities.
* Good problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software is an advantage.
* Willingness to travel for client visits and industry events.
* A professional appearance and a strong work ethic.
