Our Hotel
The Hoban Hotel has been revitalised following a near €1 million investment. It has become a contemporary open plan space which is smart and comfortable while incorporating rich, deep colours paired with statement pieces like trendy light fixtures and bold patterns. Our 1801 Restaurant starts the morning off with a breakfast buffet that has something for everyone. We also serve brunch and lunch, offering the freshest and most sumptuous, sweet treats, salads, soups and sandwiches. We’ve put a lot of thought into our new menu where everything is freshly made and cooked to order and has been designed to satisfy every palette.
Your New Role
The successful candidate will be provided with on-the-job training. Previous hotel reception experience would be advantageous but not essential. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and experience in a hotel/serviced apartment environment. They will be reliable, organized, a good team player, and have a natural flair and enthusiasm for dealing with and communicating with people.
Some duties will include:
1. Welcoming guests to the property, providing effective check-in and check-out, and operating the switchboard when required.
2. Anticipating guest’s needs and ensuring that service is provided to the level they require and beyond their expectations.
3. Managing telephone and email enquiries in a prompt and professional manner and in accordance with company standards ensuring accuracy and attention to detail at all times.
4. Ensuring bookings are guaranteed and no-show charges/late cancellation charges are applied where appropriate.
5. Dealing with any guest complaints, queries, and suggestions quickly and efficiently.
6. Using onsite computer systems including Opera and Room cloud channel manager, email, and Microsoft packages.
