Job Description:
The Director of Global Procurement – Facilities Capital and Logistics will lead the development and implementation of strategies for the Global Facilities, Capital and Logistics Category to meet business needs worldwide.
This role involves working closely with stakeholders to align category priorities with procurement management and other key stakeholders. The position reports to the Vice President of Global Procurement – Facilities Capital and Logistics and collaborates with Raheen site leaders to ensure efficient and effective priority management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leading negotiations, supplier management activities, and stakeholder engagement for the Global Facilities, Capital and Logistics Category as assigned.
2. Driving value through cost savings, cash flow improvement, and efficiency gains from category management activities.
3. Representing Global Procurement in organizational decisions affecting the Global Facilities, Capital and Logistics categories, impacting the organization's success, efficiency, growth, and results.
4. Ensuring compliance with GxPs and other applicable regulations through category activities.
5. Negotiating contract terms and conditions in consultation with the Law department aligned with Regeneron's priorities and business requirements.
6. Managing a team of professional employees responsible for performing category management tasks.
7. Providing coaching and guidance on job performance and career development to direct reports, setting an example for leadership within the organization.
Requirements:
1. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus progressive experience in procurement, preferably including significant experience in Pharma/BioPharma.
2. Knowledge of efficient global procurement organizations and processes within the biopharmaceutical industry to support the growth and evolution of the Global Procurement organization and drive improvements within Regeneron, aligned with corporate priorities.
3. Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams to drive results in Global Facilities, Capital and Logistics categories or related categories through effective sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and supplier relationship management.
4. Experience working in a matrixed global organization while driving local priorities within a global framework.
5. Experience leading manager-level professionals in a multi-national firm, including writing performance reviews, setting annual objectives, coaching, and developing direct reports.
6. Working knowledge of sourcing contracting tools, ERP's, and eRFx systems preferred (Oracle, Zycus, Ariba, Other).
