Overview: The Powerscourt Hotel, Resort & Spa is currently recruiting for a Purchasing Assistant to join their Purchasing Team. This role offers a competitive salary, ongoing training, and complimentary transport to and from Bray Dart Station.

JOB FUNCTIONS:
* Ordering, receiving and storage.
* Assist in controlling stock levels of food, beverage, and miscellaneous items.
* Fulfilling daily beverage requisitions.
* Assist in receiving all goods inwards, checking purchase order quantities against delivered quantities.
* Recording returns and assist in following up on credits to be received from the suppliers.
* Use Kelsius to record food temperature.
* Work closely with the Executive Chef to assist in preparation of daily food flash.
* Assist month-end food, beverage, and miscellaneous stocktakes.
* Prepare POs for approval in Procure Wizard.
* Maintain positive working relationships with suppliers.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
* Previous purchasing, inventory or logistics experience an advantage, ideally in the hotel industry.
* Comfortable using Excel and IT software applications.
* Have a positive attitude to work.
* Ability to multi-task.
* Detail-oriented.
* Can work on own initiative.
