Assistant Stores/Garage Manager at Condron Concrete Products

Position Overview: We are looking to recruit a dedicated Assistant Stores/Garage Manager to support the efficient operation of our stores and garage facilities. With significant scope for career advancement, this role involves supervising inventory management, vehicle maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a background in logistics and/or automotive services, coupled with strong leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring and maintaining optimal inventory levels, ensuring timely procurement of materials and parts.
* Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee routine maintenance and repairs of company vehicles, coordinating with mechanics and external service providers as necessary.
* Team Supervision: Lead and mentor store and garage staff, facilitating training sessions and performance evaluations.
* Safety Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to health and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections and implementing corrective actions when needed.
* Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of inventory, vehicle maintenance schedules, and compliance documentation.
* Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and implement best practices within the stores and garage.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience in inventory management, automotive maintenance, or a related field.
* Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations pertaining to stores and garage operations.
* A valid driver's license is preferred.
