EZ Living Interiors are recruiting a Part-time Warehouse Manager to oversee our Distribution function across weekends. This role will have a shift pattern of 3x days, Friday - Sunday.

The purpose of this role is to manage the warehouse functions of our distribution centre, delivering best in class service to our stores and customers. The warehouse is responsible for country-wide deliveries and on-site collections.
The role requires the candidate to co-ordinate the various teams involved in the distribution process including warehouse personnel and drivers, ensuring excellent customer service on site as well as through our delivery network.
Objectives of this Role
1. Provide strong, capable leadership and clear direction to all team members, including all support functions.
2. Plan, organize, supervise and participate in daily warehouse operation and activities, including the receipt, documentation, storage, safety and distribution of equipment and supplies and maintenance of inventory.
3. Train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned warehouse employees; assign workloads to warehouse workers.
4. Assist the warehouse team in the picking, loading and unloading of stock throughout the warehouse.
5. Observe health and safety regulations; maintain warehouse in a clean, safe and orderly condition.
6. Ensure all administration functions required by the operation are completed correctly and on time. e.g. statutory records, timekeeping, time in lieu hours, accident reports and disciplinary management administration.
7. Organising workload for warehouse operatives and managing daily schedules for drivers.
8. Responsible for returned stock, evaluating the condition the item has been returned it and determining whether the item will be sold as new, or move to clearance.
9. Resolving outstanding Logistics issues in a timely manner.
10. Maintenance of necessary records in accordance with RSA rules and regulations.
11. Manage & develop direct reports to achieve business goals & objectives.
12. Additional Ad-hoc Warehouse Manager duties as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervises the daily work and safety of Warehouse employees engaged in receiving, replenishing and storing products, supervising and coordinating the loading and unloading of inventory including all warehouse functions, receivers and forklift operators.
2. Maintaining relationships across internal and external logistics network to ensure shipments are delivered to the customer within the requested delivery window.
3. Liaise with relevant departments as well as the Senior Management Team to ensure correct and efficient scheduling of containers as well as organising workload of Warehouse staff to ensure correct and efficient scheduling of outbound deliveries.
4. Ensure correct labelling, with labels facing outwards, of all inbound items, as well as tracking and storage of these items within the Warehouse.
5. Monitoring stock levels, including but not limited to stock checking and stock counts.
6. Responsible for collaborating with our Stock Controller to ensure stock inventory and stock locations are kept accurate, relevant and up to date on the company’s internal software system.
7. Consistent forward planning to create space for new ranges and ensuring old ranges are fully cleared.
8. Manage & develop direct reports to achieve business goals & objectives.
9. Manage effective communications across the warehouse department and with the relevant management team members.
10. Meet regularly with warehouse leads to analyse productivity and develop actionable plans for loss prevention.
11. Ensure all administration functions required by the operation are completed correctly and on time.
12. Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
13. Ensure the warehouse and its staff are compliant with all Health and Safety requirements.
Preferred Skills:
1. Should be highly motivated.
2. Capable of working on their own initiative.
3. You will need 2+ years’ experience in Team Leading/People Management.
4. Previous experience in warehouse department management an advantage.
5. Proven IT skills- Microsoft word/excel/outlook essential with strong ability to manage stock control systems.
6. Strong organisational and self-management skills with the ability to manage a variety of tasks within a busy environment and to specific time frames.
7. Excellent communication skills.
8. Ability to work in a pressurised environment and with individuals at all levels.
