About the Role
As we continue to expand our services, we have opportunities within our Orchard Community Care division in Co. Sligo and Roscommon for a Person in Charge.
Purpose of the Role
To provide the highest possible standards of support to those who use our service, ensuring it aligns with Government and Health Service Executive (HSE) Policy.
Main Responsibilities
* Act as Person in Charge for existing services, ensuring compliance with Department of Health Regulations and HIQA Standards.
* Work autonomously and with initiative to manage residential services that meet quality, regulatory, and legislative requirements.
* Supervise staff/volunteers and participate in financial management.
Requirements
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in a management or supervisory role in health or social care, including supervision of staff/volunteers and financial management.
* Proven track record of managing a residential service meeting quality, regulatory, and legislative requirements.
* Professional degree (minimum level 7) in Applied Social Studies or relevant qualification.
* Level 6 Management qualification.
* Excellent IT skills and knowledge of legislative/regulatory requirements and responsibilities.
* Full current driving license with access to your own vehicle.
Service Delivery
Lead on shift when on duty, participating in direct care to individuals following established care plans, protocols, and procedures.
Training & Development
Assist in training new team members and organizing workshops to enhance their knowledge and skills.
Compliance & Documentation
Maintain accurate documentation of care plans, assessments, and other records, monitoring completion by team members.
Quality Assurance
Implement quality improvement initiatives, conduct regular audits, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
Communication & Collaboration
Foster a positive work environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
