K-Mac Facilities Management Services Ltd. are recruiting an experienced General Operative based in the Shannon/Mid-West region. Travel is required within this area. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of maintenance experience in both commercial and domestic environments. The successful candidate will need to work both independently and as part of a larger team providing a comprehensive general maintenance service.
This interesting and challenging role for a mobile general operative includes the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance to multiple client sites.
There is a high level of client interaction and the candidate should have previous experience in a customer-facing role.
Job Description:
1. General maintenance repairs including basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing and ad hoc services.
2. Work within K-MAC-defined procedures, service routines and service schedules.
3. Provide information and support to the client’s representatives, the K-MAC supervisor and the contract manager.
4. Ability to identify and resolve general building fabric and services problems.
5. Ordering of replacement parts and stock control of key materials.
6. Provide technical support and solutions to our clients.
7. Professionally represent K-MAC at all times.
8. Complete planned calls and emergency breakdown reactive maintenance.
Experience & Requirements:
1. A demonstrated self-starter who can work on their own initiative.
2. Excellent communication skills with strong written and verbal English.
3. Good operational PC and technology skills with the ability to learn K-MAC systems and platforms.
4. Availability to work flexible hours and call out as required.
5. A full and clean driving license is a necessity for this role.
6. A positive and flexible approach to work and a willingness to engage with the client’s representatives, sub-contractors and colleagues.
7. Experience of working in a maintenance or service environment.
8. Able to troubleshoot issues and carry out fault finding to resolve issues.
9. A high level of flexibility and ability to work without direct supervision.
