Business Development Manager - Musgrave Marketplace (East Coast)

Role Purpose:
To develop a defined territory as outlined by the General Manager with total responsibility for sales, debt, margin, and profit.
Role and Responsibilities:
1. Deliver and exceed agreed territory sales, profit, and margin targets across the (Marketplace) Foodservice and Retail business.
2. Develop the territory by managing a prospect list to secure new customers.
3. Drive growth through expanding the range that is currently being supplied to existing accounts.
4. Maintain all your accounts within Musgrave MarketPlace agreed credit terms.
5. Manage all customer contracts including managing pricing and range to maximize profitability.
6. Ensure excellent customer service through friendly, accurate field communication and good administration practices.
7. Provide accurate and relevant information on competitor activity and other trade field information to the General Manager & business.
8. Ensure the correct product mix in each account thus ensuring maximum profitability.
9. Ensure full cooperation via the Territory Telesales Developer, Regional General Managers, and Regional Foodservice Floor Managers etc. to ensure maximum growth in your specific territory.
Complete all administration as required including Journey plans, Daily Sales Reports, Record Cards, and Prospect lists.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Understanding of the foodservice and retail customer.
2. Experience/knowledge in food industry or in direct foodservice sales (competitors/range/customers).
3. Proven track record in proactive field sales and achieved targets.
4. Professional selling skills.
5. Administration skills, planning, and time management skills.
6. Forward-thinking with the ability to work on own initiative.
7. Ability to change, adapt, and be flexible.
8. Leaving Cert / GCSE.
9. Full clean driving licence.
