About Your New Job as a Junior Quantity Surveyor
* Assist with cost management and reporting on projects from inception to completion.
* Support senior quantity surveyors in preparing and evaluating tender documents, contracts, and budgets.
* Monitor project progress, identifying and advising on any potential cost issues or risks.
* Assist in the preparation of monthly cost reports and valuations.
* Help with procurement processes and negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers.
* Work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure costs are controlled and projects are delivered within budget.
* Assist in the management of change orders and variations.
* Help in managing contractual claims and ensuring compliance with the contract terms.
What Skill You Need
* A minimum of 6 - 12 months experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within theIrish construction industry.
* A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field (or studying towards a qualification).
* Strong understanding of construction processes and cost management.
* Proficiency in using cost management software and MS Office, especially Excel.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
* A proactive approach and eagerness to learn and develop within the role.
