This is a squad lead role in the Application & Infrastructure Security Product Area within the Enterprise Cybersecurity business unit.
Verizon's 2024 Data Breach Investigation Report (containing 10,000+ confirmed data breaches) states that ~70% of breaches involved exploitation of a web application.
Fidelity has hundreds of web applications on the Internet that make hundreds of releases a month to production.
These applications are the main point of interaction that our 40M+ customers have with Fidelity.
It is crucial to Fidelity's reputation, and our customers' livelihoods, that these applications are secure.
In the Application Security tools squads, our focus is to provide innovative tools, libraries, and solutions to support and verify the implementation of security controls across the Fidelity application development community (10k+ developers).
The squads are made up of highly motivated and engaged associates who all work in a fast-paced agile environment.
The Expertise & Skills You Have Proven experience with leading technology teams delivering mission-critical customer-facing technology solutions in an agile environment Leadership in problem solving, bridging business and technology teams, and effectively working with other leaders in a highly matrixed organization Experience working across business units, development teams, and production support organizations Experience working with and integrating vendor products Ability to analyse and distil complex problems into clear and concise documentation and requirements Ability to research, analyze and recommend new feature opportunities aligned to product area strategies Ability to manage squad backlog to prioritize, plan and execute against delivery sub-initiatives; ensure alignment on the "what" and "when" work is performed Experience prioritizing squad work using Agile practices and ceremonies for both strategic and maintenance workstreams Excellent documentation, presentation and facilitation skills including proposing informed solutions and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences Excellent communication skills, verbal and written Ability to collaborate with Chapter Leaders, Architects and Scrum Masters where applicable, to plan and execute roadmaps and initiatives, measure and report on progress to leadership Ability to effectively collaborate, negotiate, and engage with business counterparts to refine requirements Product management acumen with the skills to create roadmaps, generate status reports, manage risk and security concerns, and ensure operational stability and availability of technology solutions Strong innovation and solutioning skills to maximize effective use of squad capacity Experience with Jira and Jira Align, or other comparable Agile tools Experience in Cybersecurity or the financial services industry would be beneficial.
