Design Coordinator
This is a permanent position based in Greystones, Wicklow.
About the Role
The Design Coordinator will work with the Design & Build team and outside design teams to manage project documentation.
Key responsibilities include:
* Treating health and safety, sustainability, cost, time, constructability, and quality as primary drivers of approach
* Working alongside the Design Manager to chair and minute weekly Design Team/Information meetings
* Collaborating with the Project Manager/Contracts Manager and site team to review information requirements
* Tracking the Design Release/Schedule of information
* Communicating with design teams and subcontractors to ensure submittals are approved
* Issuing design submissions and designer checklists via Autodesk (ACC) CDE
* Maintaining trackers for design submissions, material/submittals, and RFIs
* Assisting with BCAR management, site inspections, and receipt of BCAR documentation
* Supporting site QA/QC and closure of IFCOs received from the design team and client's assigned certifier
* Keeping the project QS updated on client or design changes with commercial implications
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Previous on-site experience in design management, site management, or project management, or equivalent engineering degree qualification
* Experience working on medium to large construction projects
* Awareness of construction methodologies
* Familiarity with web-based contract communication tools
* Safe Pass card holder and manual handling training
* Excellent people management and interpersonal skills
* High level of IT skills, including Microsoft 365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work in highly regulated environments
* Excellent attention to detail
* Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
* High level of organisational skills
