Grade VI Section Officer, Support Services Manager, Mallow General Hospital
The South/South West Hospital Group provides acute hospital services to the population of Cork, Kerry, Waterford, Tipperary, and Kilkenny. Cork University Hospital (CUH) is a model 4 tertiary referral centre and University teaching hospital, owned and managed by the Health Service Executive (HSE).
Mallow General Hospital (MGH) is a Model 2 Hospital within the Cork University Hospital Group. It is a 71 bed acute general hospital providing inpatient, outpatient, and day patient services, including general medicine, cardiology, respiratory, gerontology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, ENT, and urology.
Inpatient medical activity is supported by a Medical Assessment Unit and a High Dependency Unit. MGH also provides elective day surgery, endoscopy, injuries unit, outpatient department, physiotherapy, and radiology services.
Specialist nursing includes cardiology, respiratory, sleep, diabetes, haemovigilance, infection control, tissue viability, and care of the older adult.
Our primary academic partner is University College Cork (UCC), and the group offers a wide range of educational programmes and conducts research within all the hospitals in the group.
