Senior Buyer - Cork
Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Buyer for a full-time permanent position based in Cork. As a crucial member of our procurement operations, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, goods, and services essential to our business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Sourcing and procuring materials and services with a focus on quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.
* Building and maintaining supplier relationships, negotiating pricing and terms, and effectively managing contracts.
* Monitoring procurement costs, tracking expenses, and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
* Overseeing timely material deliveries and managing on-site inventory to prevent delays.
* Collaborating closely with project managers and site teams to ensure material requirements align with project schedules.
* Ensuring all procurement activities comply with regulations and sustainability objectives.
Candidate Profile:
* Demonstrated experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role, ideally with a background in supply chain management.
* Strong negotiation skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a high level of attention to detail.
* Proficiency in procurement software, tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
* In-depth understanding of sourcing strategies, contract management, and purchasing best practices.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and organizational levels.
* Self-motivated, capable of managing priorities, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards in procurement.
