Job Title: Marketing and Communications Manager
Contract Type: Full time, 3-year fixed term
Location: Galway City
Salary: €50,824 - €60,510 (depending on experience)

The Role:
We are seeking a talented Communications and Marketing Manager to join our client's team. This is a diverse and exciting role, overseeing all marketing and communications activities. The successful candidate will lead the Marketing and Communications team, increasing awareness and engagement with key audiences, maximizing exposure of our work and impact, and driving fundraising and earned income. The ideal candidate will bring strategic leadership, strong project management, and content and brand management skills, ensuring clear and consistent messaging across all channels.The successful candidate should have at least five years' experience in a senior marketing, communications, or digital marketing role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, execute, and oversee integrated Marketing and Communications strategies, policies, and plans in partnership with the Head of Development.
* Lead, manage, and support the marketing and communications team within the wider Development team.
* Work with the Head of Development and Senior Leadership Team to develop key messages.
* Plan, lead, and manage key organisational marketing and communications campaigns, events, and initiatives.
* Produce a content strategy and assist with content creation to support marketing and communications efforts.
* Develop and implement strategies for media, PR, and public affairs in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications Lead.
* Ensure the effective implementation, operation, and monitoring of the organisation’s digital strategy, including website maintenance and development, working with the Digital Marketing Lead.
* Support internal communications efforts in conjunction with the Internal Communications Executive.
* Collaborate with fundraising and charity shop teams to support revenue generation efforts.
* Increase awareness, supporter engagement, and participation in fundraising, philanthropy, and volunteering efforts.
* Act as a brand guardian, ensuring consistency across all internal and external communications.
* Oversee the design, production, and dissemination of marketing and communications materials.
* Monitor, evaluate, and report on the effectiveness of all aspects of communications and marketing.
* Stay informed on best practices within the charity sector, including communications innovation, legislation, and codes of practice.
* Conduct market research among stakeholder groups.
Requirements:
Education, Experience, and Knowledge
* Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
* Relevant qualification in marketing and/or communications.
* At least five years’ experience in a senior marketing and/or communications role.
* Experience leading teams.
* Proven track record of delivering successful, integrated campaigns across multiple marketing channels.
* Experience in a not-for-profit marketing and communications environment is an advantage.

Desirable Skills
* Interest in and knowledge of video and podcast storytelling.
* Proficiency in Premiere Pro or Premiere Rush.
* Experience using the WordPress Block Editor (Gutenberg).
* Competence in design software such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Canva.
Key Terms and Conditions:
Hours of work: 37 hours per week
Annual Leave: 25 days per annum plus bank holidays
