Your new company Your new company is one of the pre-eminent luxury hotels and resorts nationally and is renowned globally for it's opulent surroundings and commitment to the highest levels of excellence in customer service and hospitality. Two hotels (rated 5-sar and 3-star) form the backbone of the resort along with a world-renowned golf and country club, multiple fine-dining restaurants and bars, a deluxe spa, retail outlets, activities such as falconry and clay pigeon shooting. The resort staffs over 500 people and has consistently been ranked among the top hotel resorts in Europe. Your new role You will report into and work alongside the CFO. The role is broad and would suit someone who has a sincere interest and passion for hospitality. Along with co-ordinating the finance and purchasing departments and overseeing the more 'bread and butter' activities of managing day-to-day bookkeeping, producing month-end management accounts, co-ordinating internal and external audits and managing overall payroll processing across the resort. In addition, you will act as a business partner to all heads of departments across both hotels and the wider resort. The role is very much commercially focused and will require a tight handling on cost controls, budgeting, forecasting and variance/margin analysis. It is an all-encompassing position which will give you a unique exposure to every area of a high-performing hospitality business. What you'll need to succeed You must be a fully qualified accountant with relevant professional accreditation (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA). You will have previous hospitality exposure, preferably at a senior finance level either as Financial Controller or Senior Accountant. People leadership and management experience is an advantage, but the role is open to someone from a hospitality background looking to make the step up into a senior leadership position. Overall, the successful candidate will be accustomed to working to very high standards with strong communication skills and will also be able to demonstrate a strong commercial acumen and business sense.
