Job Title: Supervisor at Donaghmore Hatchery

Key Responsibilities:
* Organizing and managing labour to meet operational targets effectively.
* Monitoring and maintaining machinery, hygiene, and safety standards across different areas.
* Liaising with management, suppliers, farmers, and fellow supervisors to meet customer needs.
* Recording and reporting critical data to maintain accurate documentation.
Area-Specific Responsibilities:
* Egg Store: Monitor egg quality, ensure proper grading, and liaise with farmers as needed.
* Despatch: Oversee chick sexing, manage records, and coordinate logistics for smooth operations.
* Transfer: Supervise the transfer of eggs to hatchers and maintain equipment and quality control.
* General Hatchery: Monitor and ensure the optimal functioning of incubators and other machinery.
Requirements:
* Literacy, numeracy, problem-solving, teamworking, leadership, and the ability to organize and prioritize.
* Mechanical Aptitude: A knack for understanding and troubleshooting machinery.
* Communication Skills: Proficiency in English and the ability to liaise effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
* Experience: Prior supervisory/people management experience is desirable.
* Health & Safety Awareness: An understanding of workplace safety regulations and hygiene protocols.
Working Environment: The role involves standing for extended periods in a comfortable hatchery environment (16 C+). You must demonstrate attentiveness to health and safety regulations, ensuring that team members carry out their duties with care and attention to quality and welfare.
