Pierse Motors was founded over forty five years ago and due to continued growth has now a vacancy for an apprentice technician.
This role will be for a those wishing to become an apprentice but we will also consider applicants who are partly through their apprenticeship.
This role is BASEDin Tipperary Town.
Apprentice technician will service and repair vehicles such as cars and vans.
Apprentice technician will be trained in all areas of vehicle mechanics and electronics, from engine and exhaust systems to air conditioning and security features.
The duties of an apprentice technician, after a period of on & off the job training may include: Servicing vehicles carrying out checks and maintenance according to the manufacturers guidelines Repair and replacing faulty parts and components Advise customers or the service department about required repairs Producing time estimates Maintaining repair and service records Skills & Education Required To become an apprentice technician you will need to demonstrate: Excellent practical skills The ability to work quickly but also pay attention to detail The ability to work well in a team and on your own Good communication skills Minimum of eighteen of months motor trade experience Has at least completed phase two Desirable Skills Strong writing skills, as there will be an element of report writing for qualified technicians.
