The Mainframe Team within the Environment Management Service department is responsible for the maintenance and operation of mainframe environments and configuration across the Bank non-production mainframe estate. The team work closely with colleagues supporting strategic web and mobile applications, application development teams across the Bank, and with external partners in mainframe platform support. The Mainframe Environment Engineer will have a range of responsibilities including but not limited to: *Building new IMS/DB2 test environments *Endevor Administration *Middleware exposure to: MQ, CDC, Informatica is an advantage *Masking IMS/DB2/VSAM files using Informatica *Responding to support requests received from EMS Customers diligently and effectively *Using and extending existing tools for automation and service improvement Key Skillsets: *IMS/DB2 database management *Endevor administration *COBOL/REXX/ISPF/JCL/OPC skills *Development background *Exposure to UNIX/Windows systems an advantage The successful applicant will: *be passionate about service improvement through the development of automation and scripts; *possess good written and verbal communication and comprehension skills and excellent technical troubleshooting & problem solving skills; *be able to work independently with minimal supervision; *evidence 5+ years experience in a similar role; *Strong Hands on Experience in Engineering change in some / all of : CICS, Cobol, JCL, DB2, IMS; *Familiarity/background in mainframe storage management e.g. volume/tape mgmt., flashcopy etc. *Understanding of DB2/IMS Database manipulation e.g. Image copying, data restoration, data masking etc. and file management and manipulation *Experience in both Batch and Online application development; *Familiar with the following tools: Endevor Administration, Fileaid, TSO, Xpeditor; *Desirable knowledge REXX/ISPF, MQ, OPC / IBM Infosphere Data Capture; *Be comfortable planning and documenting their work in Jira and Confluence. #LI-DB3 Skills: IMS/DB2 Endevor Admnistration CICS/Cobol/JCL UNIX Fileaid/TSO/Expeditor REXX/ISPF OPC / IBM Infosphere
