JOB SUMMARY:
One of our key construction clients is looking for a Quantity Surveyor at their site in Dublin West for their current project. They will be responsible for the engineering study of the project, inventorying quantities, and writing tenders, in addition to following up on all daily activities related to technical supervision of projects and quality control of work to ensure their compliance with the approved technical and contractual standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Post commercial and contractual administration of subcontracts including drafting site related letters to subcontractors.
2. Organization of scope changes of the contracts, preparation of variation orders, contract amendments.
3. Making progress reports (weekly - monthly) for the implemented projects to the concerned department.
4. Participating in the work of tenders, designing, and calculating quantities for projects, and fully familiar with the construction market.
5. Monitoring of the subcontractors’ progress and evaluating and correcting monthly payment applications of the subcontractors as per construction drawings and contractual terms and conditions
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
6. A Bachelor’s degree in civil/Mechanical or Electrical engineering (with 5-7 years of experience in technical office).
7. Computer proficiency: AutoCAD, Power Point, Word, and Excel are a must. Procore or similar programs is an asset.
8. Proven experience with technical drawings and details.
9. Extensive knowledge of preparing BOQs (in English language) including quantity surveys.
10. Strong technical knowledge of civil, structure & electro-mechanical design concepts and strong coordination skills.
11. Possession of great work ethic, high degree of integrity, and willingness to put in the hours whenever needed.
12. High organization skills and ability to prioritize.
13. Critical thinking uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
