As Senior Manager of eCommerce you will be a cross functional leader who develops and implements comprehensive eCommerce strategies for Balsam’s international markets. You will be adept at considering cultural nuances and local consumer behaviors and applying them to global ecommerce and brand strategies. You will be a key contributor to the eCommerce roadmap and proactively identify and capitalize on new growth opportunities. This position works closely with globally distributed eCommerce Operations, UI/UX, Marketing, and Creative teams to establish and launch inspirational, educational, and conversion‐driven website strategies and content that optimize the shopper experience and proves our brand value to our shoppers.
This full-time position reports to the VP of eCommerce and is located in Dublin, Ireland. This role is expected to work in a hybrid model, which includes three days in-office. This role will require occasional travel to the US and/or Philippines, including a 2-3 week onboarding period in Balsam’s Redwood City, CA headquarters.
To ensure sufficient overlap with functional and cross-functional team members globally, some flexibility with this role's regular work schedule will be required. Most of our teams have overlap with early morning and/or early evening PST. Specific scheduling needs for this role will be discussed in the initial interview.
What you’ll do:
* Be a cross functional leader who champions ecommerce best practices to deliver a best in class shopper experience on site.
* Use data & analytics to understand customer purchase patterns and friction points, and leverage these insights to tailor site content and shopper journey.
* Gain a deep understanding of cultural shopping nuances and incorporate them into site strategies.
* Ability to explore the site experience from the customers’ perspective and weave intentional strategies throughout the site.
* Present findings to the Executive Team and cross functional stakeholders, crafting the overarching story from various data points.
* Develop and maintain seasonal site calendar; planning content and campaigns to meet or exceed eCommerce KPIs.
* Identify business challenges, develop creative solutions, and take ownership of driving those solutions to fruition.
* Work closely with Localization team to stay up to date on eCommerce regulations and compliance requirements to ensure that our international sites.
* Lead a small team of talented individuals to execute on site merchandising strategies, ensuring a seamless and engaging customer experience.
* Work with urgency and strong drive to improve the shopper journey and deliver on International goals.
* Partner with cross-functional teams (marketing, merchandising, operations, business management) to ensure a cohesive international brand experience and inform the strategy for the site.
* Proactively identify and champion new growth initiatives, pushing and exploring the boundaries of what's possible.
* Foster a culture of ownership and initiative, empowering the team to contribute their best.
People Management:
* Conduct regular conversations with direct reports covering performance and assessing career advancement opportunities within the team, engage with the larger team through skip level and monthly functional meetings, coordinate hiring plans, and guide team to adhere to company norms.
People Development:
* Lead team by providing guidance on career development, fostering diversity and inclusion, identifying training needs, promoting our values, and supporting collaboration across teams.

* 10+ years of experience in eCommerce/Retail.

* Prior experience in successfully leading fast paced cross-functional projects.
* Strong understanding of web-based consumer behavior and eCommerce KPIs.
* Experience in working with Creative, Merchandising, and Product Management teams.
* Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Merchandising, Economics, General Business Management or equivalent.
