Position Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic Senior Post-Doctoral Fellow to join our team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in researching and developing educational curricula for AI in health professions education and raising awareness of the opportunities AI offers in both healthcare and education.
About the project The successful candidate will make a key contribution to the AI2MED project.
The aim of this project is to develop curricula, training programs and Incubation Labs to bridge the AI skills gap and accelerate AI adoption enabling better diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring with precision and personalised care.
The outcomes of this project include microcredentials and MOOCs in areas such as Data Management and Cybersecurity, Advanced Digital Competencies, Interpersonal and Cross-Disciplinary Communication, and AI Ethics and Oversight.
It is envisaged that these courses will be available as CPD, as well as to adapt and incorporate into higher education curricula across Europe.
This project is funded by Erasmus+ Partnerships for Innovation - Alliances in collaboration with 10 European partners.
Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the international research team to design and implement healthcare-related AI curricula Develop teacher training materials for AI medicine curricula and select appropriate cases for implementation Manage project communications (monthly newsletter, LinkedIn content) Support facilitation of partner agreements (MOUs) and contribute to the organisation of dissemination events Engage in dissemination activities, including writing academic papers, presenting findings at conferences, and engaging with relevant professional networks.
Facilitate the development of microcredentials for clinical educators for AI2MED Manage project operations, ensuring timely completion of milestones and deliverables.
Undertaking duties assigned by the PIs or her nominee in support of the projects.
Coordinate own day-to-day work to support the project.
Other Responsibilities: Conduct analysis on RCSI faculty AI literacy training requirement and channel learnings from the AI2MED project into faculty development initiatives Support the development of online training materials for RCSI faculty Qualifications and Skills: A Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., education, healthcare training, digital health, artificial intelligence) is preferred; candidates with a Master's degree and significant relevant experience will also be considered.
Demonstrated expertise in health professions education, artificial intelligence education, or related fields.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of academic publications and presentations.
Experience with grant writing and securing research funding is highly desirable.
Experience developing digital teaching materials and administering a virtual learning environment is highly desirable.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
