Responsibilities:
The Clinical Nurse Manager will play a central role in Assessing, Planning, Implementing and evaluating nursing careThe CNM will lead the Nursing team in delivering Person-Centered care to our residents.
Preparing and Administrating Drugs in line with Company policy and 'An Bord Altranais' guidelinesEnsuring residents hygiene/personal care needs are maintained to the highest standards while maintaining the resident's dignity at all timeProviding Palliative care for dying residents and support for their residentsThe CNM will be acting up for the Director of Nursing in their absence or in an emergencyPlanning and allocation of nursing teams with appropriate staff members, skill mix and levels of experience to meet the clinical demands and the continuity of careThe organisation of fair and accurate off duty rotas and co-ordinated holiday plans, other leave and parameters that apply to ensure that skills mix takes account of fluctuating workloads and maximizing available resourcesCollaboration with the Director of Nursing in preparing, Implementing and evaluating budget and service plans within an agreed budgetControlling the use of all supplies and the proper use of all equipmentIdentifying projected needs through constant floor inventories and estimate appropriate limits of resourceThe Clinical Nurse Manager will be leading by example and demonstrating a strong 'team ethos' being positive and motivational at all timesEncouraging, training and guiding team while maintaining a happy environmentProviding guidance and advice to all junior Nursing and caring staffWhat you will have:5 Years of post registration experienceProven track record in Team Management and performance managementA Minimum of three Years in Care of the ElderlyContinuous Professional DevelopmentAbility to manage and Motivate teamWhat we offer:A rewarding working environment, with support from supervisors and managersCompetitive rates of payComprehensive induction trainingSubsidised mealsTraining & Development opportunitiesFree regular updating of mandatory training along with non-mandatory trainingEmployee Assistance Programme which offers advice and counselling services, for carers and their immediate familiesFree healthcare uniform - one tunic paid for per year by CarechoiceRefer a friend bonusFree parking
