Are you our next Senior Technical Architect? Location: Dublin, as part of our hybrid working model. Grade: Associate Director Contract type: Perm The firm has several strategic projects ongoing. These range from moving all our Dublin offices into a single campus in Harcourt Square, to the replacement of our current SAP ECC 6 Practice Management system with a more modern alternative, better supporting the digital transformation of our business. Digital transformation programs are currently underway across each of our key businesses.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the successful delivery of technology projects, bridging the gap between technical teams and business objectives, enhancing collaboration, and ensuring IT systems align with the organisations strategic goals.
A snapshot of your peer group: Have executed & led E2E technology architecture implementations for small/medium or large-scale enterprises Possess a deep understanding of diverse data technologies, architecture best practices, and the ability to translate business needs into robust data solutions (SAP and non-SAP data objects). Overall understanding of Professional Services industry & business processes (Hire to Retire, Procurement, Project Systems). Strong understanding of cloud computing, system design and proficiency in programming languages (cloud native languages on SAP BTP/Microsoft Azure/AWS/ GCP/AliCloud etc.) Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team. Understanding of Enterprise Architectures and tools (SAP LeanIX for technology architecture management or equivalent TOGAF based tools is desirable) Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field At least 8-10 years' experience as Technical Architect or similar role with strong background in system design and architecture. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Knowledge of cloud platforms and DevOps practices. Practical experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) preferably mapping with other technology platforms - Microsoft Azure/AWS/ GCP/AliCloud etc.) TOGAF or AWS certification is highly desirable. Define the overall architecture of systems and applications, covering software tools, release management, databases, and infrastructure. Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, tools, and platforms. Ensure the architecture supports performance and scalability requirements. Determine if current applications and platforms map with the firm's transformation vision. Stakeholder communication Deliver design ideas on the preferred technology stack, including cloud deployment, programming tools, development platforms, and databases. Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical proposals and solutions. Present technical proposals in a clear and understandable manner. Facilitate discussions and negotiations to resolve conflicts and ensure stakeholder expectations are understood. Technical leadership Provide technical direction and mentorship to development and infrastructure teams to ensure adherence to the architectural standards. Resolve technical issues and challenges between different teams. Ensure that solutions comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Incorporate best security practices into the architecture framework. Implement best practice for system optimisation, scalability, and supportability. Oversight of all parts of technology touch points Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends Recommend improvements to existing systems and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Project Management and Performance Optimisation Develop and maintain technical roadmaps for all key systems. Implement monitoring and performance strategies to optimise system performance and scalability. Provide technical guidance and leadership to technology teams, overseeing the implementation of new technologies as well as ensuring best practices are followed. Identify and mitigate architectural risks.
