Overview
Noreside’s Automation Division is a unique automation division specialising in customised automated and robotic solutions for manufacturing. We offer an array of custom equipment including filling machines, cartoning machines, vision systems and robotics. We work with companies ranging from SMEs to multi-national companies in the food, pharmaceutical, medical, dairy and manufacturing industries.
The Opportunity
We are a small & dynamic company, so this role will suit someone who thrives on multitasking, enjoys a wide variety in their work and is passionate about exciting projects. The role will involve hands-on troubleshooting, electrical panel building, maintenance, machine building, and continuous improvement on production and processes equipment.
This role will be split between in-house machine building of custom automated and robotic solutions in Noreside Engineering Kilkenny, and on-site machine service across the island of Ireland.
Further development and education available to assist upskilling and career advancement.
Responsibilities of Industrial Electrical
In-house:
1. Electrical panel building for in-house projects
2. Electrical troubleshooting on customer sites
3. Perform precision set-ups of automated and robotic equipment
4. Maintain a clean, safe work space
5. Liaise and engage with engineering teams
6. Participation in problem-solving activities
7. Machine installation on customer sites
8. Modifying equipment enclosures with power tools and hand tools
9. Fit and assemble components according to mechanical drawings
10. Other duties as assigned by the assembly lead
Service:
1. To service automation equipment and maintain in excellent condition ensuring consistent quality, output and yield.
2. Follow systematic root cause problem solving and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
3. Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance, completing all associated paperwork and records.
4. Service work will involve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and software tasks.
Qualifications/Experience:
1. Strong electrical background with hands-on experience building electrical control panels
2. Full, clean driver's license and own transport.
3. The successful candidate will have Level 6 qualification or higher.
4. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and customer-facing skills, with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
5. Ability to work well as a team member.
6. Knowledge of various tooling and testing equipment.
7. Excellent problem solving with a proven track history.
Desirable Skills:
1. Experience in high volume automation / robotics an advantage
2. Experience in pneumatics and hydraulic systems
3. Experience in electronics, servo motor drives, vision systems or PLCs.
