About Your New Role
This role is a leadership position within the finance function.
You will report directly to the Director of Finance and Financial Controller and have a number of accountants reporting to you.
The primary focus of the role is oversight of all financial reporting and statutory accounting across the Group, including month-end management accounts, year-end financial statements, annual regulatory and tax returns, and compliance for entities in the UK and Ireland.
In addition, you will be responsible for hands-on commercial accounting around project performance, budgeting, forecasting, WIPs, and variance analysis.
You will also have exposure to other ad hoc duties and projects related to commercial and operational activities.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must be a fully qualified accountant with a recognised professional accounting accreditation (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA).
At least 5 years of post-qualified experience and exposure to the construction industry or a similar industry, such as manufacturing and engineering industries, are required.
Excellent financial reporting and technical accounting skills and knowledge are essential for this role, as they form a significant part of your responsibilities.
Strong commercial acumen and team leadership skills are advantageous, but the role is also open to individuals looking to take their first step into management.
A strong attention to detail, communication skills, and a solutions-first mindset are essential.
