Position Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Chartered Clinical/Educational Psychologists to join our client’s teams in Kildare, Cork, Mayo, or Monaghan. This role will involve conducting comprehensive psychological assessments, delivering evidence-based interventions, and providing therapeutic support to children and adolescents with a range of developmental, emotional, and behavioural challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate cognitive, emotional, social, and behavioural functioning in children and adolescents.
2. Develop and implement individualised treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
3. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and educational psychologists, to ensure holistic care for clients.
4. Provide consultation and support to parents, caregivers, and relevant stakeholders to promote effective strategies for support.
5. Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other records in accordance with professional and ethical standards.
6. Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities to enhance clinical practice.
7. Stay informed about current research, trends, and best practices in clinical psychology and child development.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. A doctorate in educational psychology, clinical psychology, or counselling psychology is required.
2. Must be registered with the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) as a psychologist.
3. ADOS training and experience in autism diagnostic assessments are desirable.
4. Minimum of two years of post-qualification experience in clinical practice, preferably working with children and adolescents.
5. Strong expertise in psychological assessments and evidence-based recommendations for developmental, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.
6. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
7. A commitment to professional development and continuing education in clinical/educational psychology and child development.
