HVAC SERVICE ENGINEER
We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineer with HVAC experience to join us in the Dublin area. This role is field-based and will require travel to continuously support our customers by servicing humidity control equipment.
Responsibilities
1. To undertake accurate, timely, and high-quality servicing for our contract maintenance customers in accordance with vision and relevant health and safety.
2. To accurately identify and replace spare components on customer equipment to improve or restore performance.
3. Make accurate proposals and explanations to customers regarding recommended/critical spares or required refurbishments.
4. To undertake accurate airflow measurements and performance assessments against our standard procedures for assessment of unit performance.
5. To undertake system upgrading and refurbishment either at customer's premises or in our Return to Works facility.
6. To provide timely and accurate commissioning and setup of our equipment.
7. To provide clear technical service reports daily, communicated to the Internal After Sales Support team.
8. To provide clear Health and Safety documentation for each site visit and communicate to the internal After Sales Support team.
9. To seek out servicing opportunities from new and existing customers.
10. Presents a professional image in line with dress code guidelines and a helpful image as the humidity expert and preferred supplier.
11. Assists team members outside normal geographic region when project distribution difficulties arise.
12. Works under own initiative to manage contract customers in own geographic area.
13. Monitors and reports on competitive activity.
14. Participates positively within the team, demonstrating a positive attitude and contributing fully to the overall success of the team.
15. Participates fully in all company training initiatives including self-study, mentoring, and on-the-job training.
16. Complies with statutory, company, and customer health and safety requirements and site working instructions.
17. May be employed by other teams for project engineering, engineering support through the sales process, and product technical reporting.
Experience Required
1. Minimum of three years field servicing experience of engineering capital equipment.
2. FGAS certified.
3. Computer Literacy (Word, Excel, Lotus, application software).
4. Knowledge of the HVAC Industry.
5. Experience generating accurate assessments of electrical and mechanical component fault diagnosis.
6. Experience presenting technical service reports in customer-friendly languages/styles.
7. Knowledge of reporting techniques for servicing activity reports.
8. Knowledge and experience of calculating airflow and moisture content measurements.
9. Good working knowledge of air handling techniques.
10. Experience demonstrating relationship-building skills.
11. HNC/HND or higher in a relevant Engineering qualification.
