HD McKay Consulting Engineers is a leading Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy operating throughout the island of Ireland. With over 20 years of experience in design and delivery of construction projects, we provide professional services to Businesses, Corporations, Local Authorities, Public Bodies, Solicitors, and Individuals on a range of Commercial, Industrial and Domestic projects. We are growing our Architectural team of registered Architects and Architectural Technologists to meet an increasing and diverse portfolio of opportunities across the region. The role is based in Letterkenny within a multidisciplinary team of Architects, Civil & Structural Engineers, Passive House Consultants and technologists who manage a wide range of projects predominantly based in the North West of Ireland. Have a thorough working knowledge of BCAR and Planning Regulations Have the ability to work with autonomy to take projects from client briefing through to completion and post occupancy. Collaborate with our in-house engineers as well as contractors, and other design professionals to deliver cohesive and coordinated project outcomes. Are focused on the short and long-term profitability and growth of the Company. Role Tasks: Design and delivery of a rapidly growing, diverse portfolio of prestigious residential and commercial projects across the region from inception to post occupancy. Development of design deliverables across all RIAI stages of project delivery. Prepare presentations, reports, and documentation for clients and other stakeholders. Facilitate meetings with clients, stakeholders, and consultants to review project progress. Ensure all designs meet planning, building regulations, and health & safety requirements. Submit planning applications, building control documentation, and other statutory submissions as required. Review contractor submittals and conduct site visits to ensure compliance with contract documentation. Participate in ongoing CPD to further their education, attending seminars, workshops, and conferences as necessary Minimum requirements:A Degree in Architecture. Membership of RIAI or equivalent body Minimum 5 years experience in Ireland Proven experience in Building Control (Amendment) Regulations 2014/. Proficiency in REVIT preferred and AutoCAD is desirable. Clean driving license. A working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is desirable.
