Tax Accountant-Hybrid
Zurich Insurance Company is currently recruiting for a Tax Accountant. This role will be based in Blackrock.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified tax or finance professional to join a multi-faceted tax team. The successful candidate will work on Life and General Insurance tax, focusing mainly on corporate tax compliance but working with all areas of the insurance businesses receiving exposure to all tax heads.
Your Role
As a Tax Accountant your main responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:
1. Tax reporting including corporation tax, premium taxes, VAT and VIES.
2. Working to tight quarterly group and local tax reporting deadlines
3. Analysis of reported taxes
4. Liaising with finance and business colleagues who own systems producing tax-relevant output
5. Communicating relevant legislation amendments, determining their impact on the business, systems and procedures
6. Providing appropriate support to all areas of the business on tax-related matters including VAT, premium taxes, withholding taxes and pension taxes
7. Always seeking opportunities for efficiencies and process improvements
8. Ongoing review of controls and compliance procedures
Your Skills & Experience
As a Tax Accountant your skills and qualifications will include:
Qualifications and Experience required:
9. Tax (AITI) and/or qualified accountant or equivalent
10. At least 2-3 years taxation/finance experience.
11. Background in insurance/financial services an advantage
12. Proficient in Excel
