My client, a well-established company based outside of the City, is seeking an Account’s Assistant to join their growing team. This role is on an initial 4 month basis and offers the opportunity to work closely with the Financial Controller.
Responsibilities:
1. Balance debtors/creditors listing each month.
2. Responsible for VAT returns and year end accounts.
3. Investigate all discrepancies with invoice totals and work within the company to balance all accounts.
4. Ensure payroll is completed in an accurate and timely manner.
5. Process supplier payments.
6. Monthly bank/visa reconciliation and analysis of accounts and variances.
7. Prepare monthly financial reports and correspondence for internal or external review.
8. Contribute to and/or complete special projects as assigned.
Skills:
1. 3-5 years’ experience working as an Accounts Assistant.
2. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting /Diploma preferred.
3. Strong communication skills, over the phone and via email.
4. Accounting Technician qualification is an advantage but not essential.
5. IT literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
6. Part ACCA qualified, or planning to do ACCA exams is desirable.
