Overview:
We are looking for an ambitious and commercially minded Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive mortgage growth across key markets. This strategic role is ideal for a confident self-starter with a proven background in mortgage sales and a passion for building business relationships. You'll play a pivotal role in expanding our client base, nurturing our partner networks, and delivering consistent mortgage sales performance. This position can be offered on a Full-Time or Part-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute a regional sales strategy to drive mortgage volume and market share.
* Identify new business opportunities, including partnerships with brokers, estate agents, builders, and other intermediaries.
* Manage and grow a network of third-party introducers, delivering tailored training, support, and product insights.
* Maintain a consistent pipeline of mortgage business through proactive engagement and relationship management.
* Monitor sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity to inform tactical sales decisions.
* Represent the business at industry events, networking functions, and client meetings to promote brand awareness and business development.
* Collaborate with internal teams (underwriting, marketing, operations) to ensure a seamless customer journey.
* Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Requirements:
* Minimum 5+ years’ experience in mortgage sales, business development, or financial services relationship management.
* QFA qualification is essential.
* Demonstrated ability to grow business through networking, lead generation, and referral development.
* Strong understanding of the mortgage and housing market in Ireland.
* Outstanding interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a consultative and solutions-based selling approach.
* Comfortable working autonomously in a field-based environment, with strong time and territory management skills.
* Tech-savvy with experience using CRM systems and digital communication tools.
