We are now seeking an experienced Patient Administrator for our Pain Clinic services based in Cork.
This is a 12 month fixed term contract, working Monday- Friday The ideal candidate will ensure the efficient and smooth operation of the pain clinic by managing all administrative tasks related to appointment scheduling, patient communication, invoicing, clinic set up and filing of all documents, completion of clinic administrative work and submission of reports (including updating spreadsheets) for each clinic and consultants participating.
This role serves as a key support resource for all staff and patients ensuring that appointments are properly booked and rescheduled, invoices are accurately generated and tracked, and all administrative functions are carried out with attention to detail, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Responsibilities: Greeting and Registering patients on a day-to-day basis at the reception desk Providing reassurance and information to patients regarding their treatment Performing any local administration tasks such as billing/claims/ lodgements etc Updating all records in an efficient, confidential manner with appropriate attention to detail.
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments for consultations, treatments, and follow-ups.
Complete post procedure administrative summaries, discharge summaries, and file all notes electronically; and where required in paper format adhering to GDPR at all times.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient appointment records in the clinic's scheduling system.
Assist patients with any scheduling conflicts or inquiries regarding their appointments.
Generate and send invoices for patient treatments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Collate and track invoices, ensuring all relevant charges are correctly applied and accounted for.
Answer patient calls, emails, and inquiries regarding appointment scheduling, treatment options, and billing matters.
Provide clear, compassionate, and professional communication with patients at all stages of their treatment journey.
Assist patients with filling out necessary forms, including insurance and consent documents.
