The Role
* Full-time, permanent position for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon
* 37.5 hours per week over 5 days (1 hour lunch break per day)
* Shared rota of 1 in 4 weekends / OOH with no overnight work
* Salary up to €65,000 commensurate with experience level
* Start date of January 2025
Your responsibilities in this role will include clinical consultations, surgical procedures, and providing a high standard of care to both our patients and our clients. You will be working alongside a vibrant, enthusiastic, professional team with clinical excellence at its core.
This role has the possibility to progress into a Clinical Lead role in the future for the right candidate.
Applicant Requirements
All eligible applicants must be registered with the Veterinary Council of Ireland. Experience is essential for this role. All applicants must be competent at:
* Clinical consultations
* General soft tissue surgery including routine procedures (e.g. dog spays, tumour removals etc)
* Routine diagnostics and work ups (e.g. cardiology and skin work ups, ear flush exams etc)
* Clinical procedures (e.g. blood transfusions, urinary catheterization etc)

About Us
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly, progressive, and competent team based in Drogheda, Co Louth. We are a 100% small animal hospital, passionate about providing a quality service to both our clients and patients. Our team's well-being is always a priority, and we have several wellness advocates who focus strongly on this area of our daily work. Our team is made up of 6 Veterinarians, 9 Veterinary Nurses, 3 reception staff, an accounts administrator, a practice manager, and 2 animal care assistants.
