Candidate Advanced Nurse Practitioner Interventional Radiology
This role is based in the HSE Mid-West Acute Services at University Hospital Limerick, Ireland.
Job Description:
* The Candidate Advanced Nurse Practitioner (cANP) will complement and contribute to the overall service provided by the interventional radiology service.
* They will work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary team colleagues to ensure a seamless, coordinated approach to care.
* The cANP will contribute to the planning, organising and continuous improvement of the quality of care experienced by patients within the interventional radiology (IR) service.
* They will provide expertise and specialist nursing services to patients undergoing IR procedures, optimising quality and continuity of care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. To take the lead in developing and coordinating med line intravenous care pathways to improve patient experience.
2. To contribute to the development of minor procedures services within interventional radiology.
3. To lead initiatives within the department as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
4. To develop education programs for nursing staff, students, patients, and their families through clinical work, education, research, and leadership.
5. To support and promote swift discharges and bed management efficiencies.
6. To advance the theory and practice of advanced nursing practice through demonstrating expert practice, autonomy in practice, clinical leadership, research, and audit.
Requirements:
* Registration as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
* Post-registration academic preparation to meet the criteria for registration as an RANP.
* Developing the clinical and leadership skills, competencies, and knowledge required to meet the NMBI criteria for registration as a RANP.
Salary:
€60,000 - €80,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
Estimated Annual Salary: €70,000
