Corporate and Transactions Manager - Cork
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Corporate and Transactions Manager to work in our Cork office, advising a wide variety of indigenous and international clients across diverse sectors on local and international corporate and transactional matters.
The Grant Thornton Transaction Services team is a growing team of experts with deep industry, sector and technical knowledge. The successful candidate will work as part of the Cork Transaction Team based out of our new offices at Penrose but will also be fully integrated into our national Transaction practice.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a portfolio of corporate and transactions clients;
* Building strong relationships with clients and developing a clear understanding of their business and expectations;
* Providing expert advice on corporate and transactional matters;
* Responsible for managing due diligence and transaction advisory assignments;
* Working as part of a team to help deliver large scale corporate and transactional projects;
* Demonstrate a clear appetite for self-development through the appraisal and personal development plan processes;
* Participate in business development activities and contribute to sales pitches.
Skills and Attributes:
* CFA or equivalent qualification;
* Minimum 2+ years' post qualification experience of working in a transaction services department;
* Strong technical knowledge including a thorough understanding of corporate finance and transactional matters;
* Proven ability to identify opportunities for clients;
* Capable of working on your own initiative;
* Ability to build trusted relationships with clients and the team;
* Managerial skills with the ability to manage compliance processes;
* Strong interpersonal skills are essential together with proven people development skills;
* Ambitious and want to pursue a career in transaction services;
* Strong attention to detail.
