The Role
As Datalex continues to grow its business and disrupt the digital commerce market we are looking for an ambitious FP&A and business partnering analyst to join our growing FP&A and business partnering team.
We operate in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with international and cross functional teams. The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to represent finance across all elements of the business operations and have direct exposure to senior management. Reporting to the head of FP&A and business partnering you will be part of a team focusing on commercial decisions, financial planning, analysing data & delivering key messages to C-Suite & Board. This role will suit a high performing and career focused finance professional.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the financial planning process across the company, ensuring robust plans based on well-defined assumptions
2. Work closely with the Head of FP&A and business partnering in developing the KPIs for the business and understanding the main drivers of performance
3. Support the Head of FP&A and business partnering in enhancing business reporting and analysis throughout the business, including to but not limited to customer profitability, investment spend and gross margin
4. Lead strategic decisions, including product investment return, gross profit, and margin profitability
5. Partner with Customer Success, Delivery, and product team to provide timely insights that will help drive business decisions
6. Be the primary Finance business partner and collaborate with all departments to understand & manage the full cost base within Datalex providing timely insights that will help drive business decisions
7. Work closely with financial reporting to produce monthly cost analysis versus budget, forecast and prior year
8. Partner with financial control team on process improvement and ensuring proper controls are in place across the business
Skills & Experience:
9. Qualified ACA, CIMA, ACCA with 2+ years of PQE
10. Ability to interpret and explain financial and operational data for all levels of management
11. Ability to exercise commercial assessment
12. Ability to meet tight reporting deadlines
13. Proficient in working with people at all organisational levels, highlighting strong teamwork skills
14. Ability to communicate efficiently at all levels and across both finance and non-finance stakeholders
15. Self-motivated, looking to help build and grow the business
16. Power BI experience is an advantage
17. Experience of software development or e-commerce sectors, in practice or industry is an advantage
18. Previous experience with MS office tools, including word, PowerPoint, and Excel
19. Fluency in English
