We are now seeking a highly skilled and motivated Programme Manager to join our dynamic team. The Programme Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the portfolio of projects within our Product Development Department, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
The Job:
* Process: Establish a project management process, based on industry best practice, and tailored to Ei Electronics’ specific needs. Work with project managers & technical leaders to consistently apply across all projects. Covers the complete lifecycle, from initial concept to high volume manufacturing, across all functions.
* Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, objectives, timelines, resources and deliverables for each project within the programme.
* Resource Management: Develop a process and tools for effort recording, work estimation, demand vs. capacity planning. Prioritise activities and allocate resources efficiently to ensure project tasks are completed effectively and within budget.
* Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, team members, and leadership team, to ensure alignment on project objectives and priorities.
* Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and ensure successful delivery.
* Budget Management: Monitor project budgets closely and make adjustments as needed to ensure financial objectives are met.
* Quality Assurance: Implement quality control processes to ensure that project deliverables meet established standards and requirements.
* Communication: Facilitate clear and transparent communication among all stakeholders to ensure alignment throughout the project cycle.
* Reporting: Prepare regular progress reports and presentations for executive leadership, highlighting key milestones, accomplishments, and challenges.
* Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and best practices implementation to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across projects.
* Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
The Person:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
* 5 year’s proven experience in programme or project management, preferably in electronics. Understanding of high-volume manufacturing an advantage.
* Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools and techniques.
* Experience working with Agile, Waterfall and other project methodologies.
* Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
* Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project, Jira.
* Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing diverse stakeholders.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
