Our client is a leading supplier of water treatment components in Ireland with over 30 years of experience in the water pumping and treatment industry.
We are seeking an experienced Sales and Business Development Manager to build and maintain long-term profitable relationships. This role requires previous experience in the water/water treatment/utilities sector.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop new business opportunities
* Create and execute sales strategies, both individually and in collaboration with existing sales teams
* Identify new opportunities in existing and complementary sectors
* Support bid processes, including application, fulfillment, demos, and pricing
* Proactively develop and manage sales pipelines
* Manage strategic accounts
* Bolster business development with existing customers, identifying upsell opportunities
* Build and maintain strong customer relationships
* Gauge and support customer satisfaction
* Share industry insights and intel with management and sales teams to inform business and product strategy
* Engage with product management to inform roadmap development
* Author marketing materials, such as white papers, to share trends and expertise
* Attend conferences, generate leads, and build relationships
* Pursue hybrid work arrangements with 60% on-site customer visits
Requirements
* 5+ years of sales and business development experience in a similar industry (water/water treatment/utilities)
* Experience in the water/water treatment/utilities sector is essential for consideration
* Ability to translate technical and business requirements and adjust communication approach
* Strong technical and product background
* Demonstrated ability to develop strong customer relationships and understand their products and long-term business strategies
* Ability to build internal and external relationships to enhance the customer experience
* Experience showcasing products and services as a strategic fit for customers through sales presentations, conferences, and networking events
* Ability to work independently and within a small team
