Job Title: Equipment Engineer
The successful candidate will work directly with the Maintenance Manager to build a reliable CMMS system and plan & deliver maintenance projects across the site in Cavan.

The plant in Cavan is currently being upgraded to a world-class manufacturing facility.
The Equipment Engineer will be required to be on call as per the on-call procedure during an agreed time slot.

Key Responsibilities:
* Scope the full extent of all maintenance works required to conduct the relevant repair/preventive/predictive/design-out activities on the organisation's plant and equipment.
* Maximise equipment reliability through using planned maintenance most effectively.
* Quickly return equipment to design capability through using planned maintenance most effectively.
* Maximise equipment availability through most effectively using planned maintenance.
* Develop cost and time-based estimates of planned maintenance work, including overtime, contractor, and component costs.
* Write applicable maintenance procedures that promote defect-free maintenance work quality while incorporating a clear EHS mode into work practice.
* Responsible for up-keep and accuracy of technical information on processes, plant, and equipment.
* Able and competent in root cause failure analysis leadership and investigations.
* Schedule maintenance work into the plant production plans.
* Schedule planned maintenance shutdowns on a weekly/annual basis.
* Ensure KPI's are captured and reported for equipment reliability, maintenance department performance and planning and scheduling business flow process.
* Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule manpower and resources for the most effective production and maintenance outcomes.
* Participates in WCM processes and projects own the Reliability pillar board.
* Ensure all team compliance training is up to date.
* Ensure adherence to all EHS activities.
Requirements:
* Qualification in an Engineering Discipline to degree level.
* Min 3 years engineering experience in a high-volume heavy manufacturing engineering environment.
* Strong ICT skills (particularly Microsoft Office).
* Knowledge of CMMS (PEMAC).
* Trade qualification (Fitter).
* Experience of managing a diverse portfolio of operational responsibilities.
* Proven track record of successful Project Management.
* Excellent data analysis skills, enthusiastic and hands-on attitude.
* Ability to write detailed repair reports and good verbal communication.
* Strong presentation skills, coupled with ability to lead a large group of people.
