Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services. As a Physical Security Engineer, you will perform a key role in delivering & sustaining physical security infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including CoPilot, Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. This will include managing the health of physical security systems across a portfolio of locations through break/fix operations, participating in on-call DRI rotation to provide support, ensuring that systems & hardware are configured in alignment with baseline standards, participate in program improvements in partnership with other teams, and enabling the delivery of new datacenter capacity through programming access control and video systems. This is a high visibility position in an area of large and expanding investment for Microsoft and offers a terrific opportunity for technical and career growth. Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
1. 1+ year(s) of experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, modeling, cyber security, anomaly detection, Security Operations Center (SOC) detection, threat analytics, security incident and event management (SIEM), information technology (IT), and operations incident response. OR Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field.
Background Check Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
2. Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Responsibilities
Physical Security System Implementation
4. Program physical access control and video systems as part of the delivery of new datacenters.
5. Provide oversight of security systems design for access control and video programming to ensure compliance with design standards and requirements.
Maintaining and Operating Physical Security Systems
6. Participate in on-call DRI rotation to support physical security systems.
7. Assess data related to the health of security systems and infrastructure to identify gaps, performance trends, compliance with system configuration standards, and work with peers to recommend and execute repeatable strategies to address issues at scale.
8. Continuously identify and recommend improvements across the program to processes, procedures, and documentation.
9. Manage physical security systems lifecycle support and compliance, hosting regular datacenter site meetings in partnership with security operations and facility management teams to proactively address site security system health, and coordinate maintenance and repair services with internal and external service providers.
Collaboration and Partner Experience
10. Collaborate with partner engineering, project management, and design teams on initiatives that help to improve the physical security environment and improve the overall effectiveness of the program.
