Role Summary: The Senior /Lead Process Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of design and development of solutions, across manufacturing processes, equipment, utilities and facility projects supporting the PMO and design team.
Ideally the candidate will have 10-15 years process design and operations experience across the Life Sciences sectors, including Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharmaceutical.
Duties: Leads the design, from Feasibility/ Concept design to Detailed Design, including PFD and P&ID development, process and equipment sizing, material and energy balances for the design throughout the design life cycle.
Assume ownership of process related aspects of a portion of a large project or an entire project to achieve agreed project deliverables Manage, lead a team of Process Engineers on assigned projects Ensure compliance of design in accordance with all codes and standards, policies guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Perform engineering studies for expanding, improving or automation of existing processes Coordination of design with other design disciplines and equipment suppliers.
Coordinate and prepare process data and calculations for all process equipment items as appropriate to meet project deliverables.
Process data for Instrument data sheets, selection of instruments, Relief data sheets, line list and piping specifications and electrical requirements for the related electrical loads Coordination of design with other design disciplines and equipment suppliers.
Prepare Technical Data Specifications (TDS)tender packages for process equipment Conduct Tender Technical Bid Analysis Participation in Technical and Safety reviews, HAZOP and FMEA facilitation.
Liaising with clients and vendors and consultants.
Develop specifications including URS, FRS, control philosophy, FDS and other project and process documentation.
Supporting the head of department and business development team in the preparation of technical proposals and technical input Assist in Developing schedules, timelines, resource and spending forecasting and reporting Installation supervision and support during commissioning of the installed items/systems.
Change control.
QMS systems compliance.
Development of internal procedures and templates.
Keeping up to date with current and emerging technologies in the life sciences sector Travel based on the project location.
Requirements: Bachelor Engineering (B.E.
Hons.
or higher) in Process/ Chemical /Mechanical Engineering 10 -15 years demonstrable experience within the life science industry.
Experience within the Chemical and Food and Beverage sector will be advantageous Experience in sustainability projects will be advantageous.
Knowledge on the HAC (Hazardous Area Classification) drawings and ATEX requirements, PED (Pressure Equipment Directive) guidelines.
Awareness of process safety engineering and process safety management Previous participation in HAZOPs and Design Risk Assessments Knowledge of Codes & Standards of Process Equipment.
Knowledge of cGMP, HACCP, ISPE, and ISO standards Be proficient in excel for the templates – Project/Process specific.
Working knowledge of calculation software such as Pipe-Flo, AFT etc..
Proven ability to successfully manage the delivery of projects., acting in a Client facing role.
Be energetic and dynamic with excellent people management, interpersonal and communication skills to operate within a project delivery environment.
Ability to work on own initiative and leading and executing projects from inception to completion.
