The receptionist develops administrative work and handles responsibilities such as customer service, check-in, check-out (early), and control of entry and exit from the hostel. You will need to be prepared to deal with situations where you won't have the immediate support of your supervisor or manager.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities (in this role you will)
1. Greet all guests and assist them with check-in and check-out
2. Maintain a positive attitude and friendly demeanour towards guests and staff
3. Respond to all guest questions and requests through all our communication channels
4. Answer our WhatsApp and phone calls
5. Manage guest bookings and reservations
6. Keep a tidy and orderly workspace
7. Assist with administrative and clerical tasks as needed
8. Register guests collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay)
9. Make reservations in person
Key Functional Competencies (You possess the following)
1. At least 1 year of experience working as a hotel receptionist or customer service role
2. Solid written and verbal communication skills
3. Advanced English & Spanish
4. Ability to maintain a positive, friendly attitude even under high pressure
5. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
6. Availability to work during the night (including weekends)
7. Ability to learn and manage systems

Experience / Education (You are/have)
1. A bachelor's degree in Tourism or Hotel Management is a plus
2. Business Administration or a related field is preferred
3. Candidates with equivalent work experience or relevant certifications will also be considered
