My client is a leading international financial services institution, with a strong focus on client satisfaction, innovation, and responsibility, is seeking an experienced Head of Tax, Ireland. This strategic role ensures compliance with tax regulations, manages tax risks, and upholds the organisation’s reputation. The role involves functional collaboration with the Head of Group Tax and hierarchical reporting to the CFO.The responsibilities span across tax compliance and advisory, ensuring all tax obligations are fulfilled domestically and internationally as required.Key Responsibilities:Tax Compliance: Manage all tax filings, including corporate tax, VAT, and international reporting requirements.Advisory Services: Provide expert guidance on structuring, disclosure requirements, and emerging tax regulations.Risk Management: Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess risks for Irish operations.Collaboration: Work with internal and external auditors, as well as local and foreign tax authorities, to manage audits and inquiries.Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the principal contact for tax matters and maintain strong relationships with management and external advisors.Strategic Reporting: Periodically report to the Irish Board of Directors on tax developments.Oversee tax reporting and filing processes, including Corporation Tax, VAT, FATCA, and AEOI, ensuring compliance with Irish and international regulations.Manage interactions with tax compliance providers and external advisors to ensure accurate and timely submissions.Monitor and implement changes in tax regulations while assessing and managing tax risks.Provide expert tax advice on structuring, compliance, and reporting, while supporting business initiatives and new products.Represent the organisation in dealings with Irish tax authorities and manage audits or inquiries from domestic and foreign tax bodies.Ensure transfer pricing agreements and intra-group service arrangements comply with domestic and international tax guidelines.Collaborate with senior leadership to provide updates on tax developments and maintain robust reporting frameworks.Build strong relationships across the organisation and the wider industry to enhance the tax function’s profile.Qualifications & Experience:Education: Degree in Finance or Accounting with a professional certification.Experience: Over 10 years in financial services, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
