About the role
Now is the decade for solving sustainability challenges. That’s what we do in Davy Horizons Sustainability Consultants | Davy Horizons. We’re growing and interested to accept interns and placements - either new graduates or mature professionals on a 6-12month fixed term contract. This is a great opportunity to be part of our world class advisory team applying sustainability best practice in the private and public sectors.
In the role, the successful candidate will:
1. Work alongside seasoned professionals in a dynamic team environment .
2. Strategy alignment with frameworks such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals .
3. Conducting materiality assessments to identify business risks and opportunities aligned to the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) .
4. Setting greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions targets and plans aligned with Science Based Targets.
5. Responsible sourcing and decarbonisation of supply chains .
6. ESG disclosure and reporting across various frameworks including CDP, TCFD, SBT, GRI, SASB, etc.
7. Gain hands-on experience by working with prominent business and government clients right from the start .
8. Apply the knowledge acquired during your university studies to real-world scenarios .

Requirements
About you
We are looking for somebody who is passionate about ESG and sustainability topics, and who is eager to apply their knowledge to transforming the business landscape. We're interested in receiving applications from individuals with the following background and skills:
11. Interest in and understanding of ESG and Sustainability landscape.
12. An environmental / science/ engineering/ law/ research-related degree or masters.
13. Working knowledge of sustainability policy, law, initiatives and reporting standards such as EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), EU Taxonomy, TCFD, GHG Accounting methods including GHG Protocol and associated standards, ISO14064, Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) desirable.
14. High level of accuracy, strong attention to detail, and ability to critically analyse both quantitative and qualitative information.
15. Strong communication and presentation skills, verbal and written.
16. Ability to work effectively across teams and across wider internal and external stakeholders.
