Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the bookkeeping and administrative staff to ensure timely VAT and Payroll processing.
* Coordinate educational and training needs for staff members, reporting to management as necessary.
* Provide general support services to facilitate a comfortable work environment.
* Liaise with staff and clients regarding information flow and documentation between clients and staff, ensuring client expectations are met.
* Collaborate with directors to maintain client relationships and manage expectations.
* Implement and maintain office administrative systems and procedures.
* Onboard new clients, including company formation tax registration and setup on our practice management system.
* Present ideas for improving firm efficiency during team meetings.
* Assist staff with IT needs via external providers.
* Report staff matters to management with suggested solutions.
* Perform other assigned duties as needed.
Accounting Portfolio Management:
* Responsible for a small portfolio of bookkeeping clients.
* Prepare and review multiple VAT Returns.
* Process bank reconciliations, sales, and purchase invoices.
* Filing returns on ROS.
The Ideal Candidate:
Criteria:
* IATI or similar qualification.
* At least 5 years of bookkeeping experience in practice.
* Ideal 2+ years of experience in a similar role as Practice Office Manager.
* Experience with Accounting software such as Xero, Quickbooks, and Dext is preferred.
* Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
