CNC Turning Department Opportunity
A progressive precision component manufacturer, based in Shannon, is seeking motivated individuals to join their CNC Turning Department. This permanent position offers opportunities for progression and development within a growing company.
About the Role
* Create and manage load capacity to accommodate spike requirements.
* Analyze part drawings and determine suitable machining processes.
* Set up and program 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC machines.
* Increase capacity when needed across post-processing tasks.
* Manage fast-turnaround, short lead-time work.
Requirements
* 5+ years of manufacturing management experience.
* 5+ years of supervisory or personnel management experience.
* Experience in aerospace, automotive, or medical industries is an asset.
About You
You will have a strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and inspection methods. A solid understanding of process flow and productivity is essential. The ability to establish and maintain effective training programs and ensure health & safety responsibilities are met across all areas is required.
Responsibilities
* Apply structured problem-solving techniques to determine root causes and implement countermeasures.
* Initiate Kaizens and maintain the program across the department.
* Enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness of the team and equipment.
* Improve process flow and productivity.
* Establish and maintain effective training programs, including documented procedures, visual work instructions, and individual employee schedules.
Skills
* Experience with Doosan, Mori Seiki, Okuma, and/or Huron milling machines.
* 5 Axis Huron Milling machines
* Milling/turning
