Our client is looking for a Construction Contracts Manager who will be managing all contractual aspects of construction projects, ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and enhancing profitability. This role entails preparing, negotiating, and administering contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, while ensuring all legal, financial, and operational obligations are met.
Responsibilities
* Develop, review, negotiate, and manage contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
* Ensure adherence to contractual obligations, mitigating risks, and maximizing benefits for the company.
* Prepare and assess claims, variations, extensions of time (EOTs), and other contractual matters.
* Collaborate with the commercial team to monitor costs, budgets, and financial performance in alignment with the contract.
* Ensure cost-effective procurement and supply chain management.
* Track project profitability and manage cost overruns.
* Coordinate legal, project management, procurement, and finance teams to ensure seamless project execution.
* Assist in scheduling and planning to ensure timely compliance with project milestones and deadlines.
* Address contractual issues and disputes to maintain project momentum.
* Identify contract risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
* Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
* Maintain accurate documentation and records related to contracts and project progress.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for contract-related issues with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure contract compliance.
* Lead discussions and resolve issues related to contracts and project advancement.
* Manage and resolve contractual disputes during the construction process.
* Support legal teams in arbitration, mediation, or litigation if necessary.
* Prepare regular reports on contract performance, project risks, and financial status.
* Provide senior management with updates on contractual obligations and project progress.
Qualifications
* A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business Law, or a related field.
* In-depth knowledge of construction law and relevant contracts.
* A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in contract/project management within the construction or engineering industry.
* Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects and handling contracts.
* Proficiency in construction project management software and cost control systems.
