Senior Design Manager (Relocate to Canada) The Design Manager, reporting to the Design Director, oversees the Design teams development, ensuring compliance, best practices, and risk management.
They guide the design process, liaise with stakeholders, and chair meetings to align design solutions with contract requirements.
Additionally, they manage Design Specialists, Design Coordinators, and the ESDC process across multiple projects.
Duties: Ensure compliance with design policies, procedures, contractual obligations, and risk management.
Oversee design quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness while monitoring clash-detection and compliance processes.
Coordinate design efforts with bid and project execution teams, ensuring deliverables meet deadlines and quality standards.
Track and report noncompliance issues, budget variances, and performance specifications to the Commercial team.
Collaborate with the Construction team to address constructability concerns and minimize design changes.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders, managing expectations and resolving issues.
Requirements: Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field, with LEED, PMP, and P. Eng as assets.
5+ years of construction experience, including 5+ years as a Design Manager on design-build projects.
Strong technical skills in BIM software, MS Office, Navisworks, REVIT, and experience with ACONEX and Revizto is a plus.
