Job Description:
MCS Group are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead engineering development and innovation within our R&D team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the delivery of new product introductions (NPI) and value improvement programmes, ensuring projects meet time, cost, and performance objectives.
* Develop and implement innovation strategies to enhance product development and technological advancement.
* Provide technical mentorship and foster a culture of continuous learning within the engineering team.
* Apply engineering principles to problem-solving, solution evaluation, and new product research.
* Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, maintaining awareness of evolving technologies.
* Manage and oversee third-party contractors and suppliers to support product development.
* Drive cross-functional collaboration, working closely with product management, training, production engineering, quality, procurement, and supply chain teams.
* Champion a performance-driven and results-focused culture, ensuring efficient use of resources.
* Maintain a deep understanding of market trends and customer needs to inform innovation.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives, reviewing processes and implementing new technologies.
Requirements:
* Degree or professional qualification in a relevant technical/engineering discipline.
* 10+ years of experience in engineering, R&D, or new product development.
* Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to mentor engineers and drive team performance.
* Expertise in engineering principles, technology performance optimisation, and validation/testing methodologies.
* Hands-on experience in product research, development, and continuous improvement.
* Strong problem-solving and analytically skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
* Proficiency in project planning, execution, and cross-functional collaboration.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams.
* Knowledge of NPI and VI processes, regulatory compliance, and risk assessment.
* Desirable: Experience in ventilation, heat recovery, heat pump systems, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, or related fields.
